February Highlights

Super Bowl Crop:

This was a big success last year so we are repeating the event.  If you aren’t into football or just not interested in the Saints or the Colts, then how abourt spending your afternoon at the store at a fun crop? Work on a layout or any paper crafting project of your choice.  We’ll start at 1:00 p.m. and go until 7:00 p.m.  Cost is $4 and includes free drinks and popcorn.  Bring a snack to share if you want.  Please call to reserve your seat.  February 7, 1–7 p.m. $4.

Cupcake Party
Can you really ever have too many reasons to eat cupcakes? Of course not.  So to celebrate Valentine’s Day, our Make ‘n Take and Demo on Thursday, February 11 will be a cupcake party.  In addition to some yummy treats and cupcake themed cards, there will be a 25% off sale on all things cupcake (stamps, embellishments, paper, etc.).  We’ll also be giving away prizes.  Don’t miss it!

Creative Challenge:
We have a themed creative challenge each month.  Using the  theme, create a paper crafted art piece (card, layout, tag, home decor item, ATC card, altered art page, etc.).  Bring to the store by published deadline.  Customers then vote for their favorite.  The winner receives a $10 gift certificate.  February theme: Spring. Deadline: Thursday, February 19, 2010. Congratulations to Cathy Verzi, our winner for January.  I actually had a 3-way tie on the vote and had to do a random number drawing to select a winner.

ATC Exchange:
Our ATC exchange is off to a good start.  We had 10 people complete cards in January.  All ten cards are on display at the store.  If you’d like to participate in February’s exchange just  make 6 similar cards based on the theme.  Bring them to the store by the last business day of the month.  Get back 5 different cards 2 business days later.  February theme: the letter “B” – baseball, bird, butterfly, baby ……
